As Beethoven himself, the Fifth Symphony is music of concentrated energy, struggle and triumph.  This emotionally charged, forward moving work will lift you out of your seat.  Although Rachmaninov's Rhapsody was completed in 1934, this work belongs in the grand tradition of 19th Century virtuosity and like Beethoven's Fifth, it is one of the most popular classical works ever written.
